Sabino Maggi holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Turin, Italy. He has worked at the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt, PTB, Germany and at the Italian National Metrology Institute, INRiM, Italy. He is now at the National Research Council, CNR, Italy.
His main research interests are thin film technology, superconducting electronics and Josephson junctions, electromagnetic measurements, geophysics, sensor networks and data analysis.
He has been associated with the National Institute of Nuclear Physics, INFN, developing a prototype superconducting strip detector. He has also collaborated with the Italian and European Space Agencies to develop STJ X-ray detectors and rf mixers for astrophysical applications.
He has been a Faculty Associate at the Department of Materials Science at the University of Turin and is now a Faculty Associate at the Department of Engineering at UniNettuno University, Rome.
He has published about 150 research papers in international refereed journals and conference proceedings.
