Valeria Melis, adjunct professor of Classical Culture at Ca’ Foscari University Venice, conducts her research activities at the Universities of Cagliari and Ca’ Foscari Venice. Her research spans from the ancient world (tragic and comic theater and its interactions with Sophistics and Athenian law; language theories; ancient literary criticism; Lucretius' De rerum natura) to the contemporary (personalized books; social reading; digital humanities). Among her publications are the book "Le amiche di Lisistrata. Lingua, genere, comicità nel tempo" (Morlacchi U.-P., 2021, with Rita Fresu) and the manual "Scripta manent. Ten lessons on argumentative writing" (Mimesis, 2021, with Francesca Ervas and Elisabetta Gola).
