I am a psycholinguist fascinated by NLP. Currently, I am a postdoctoral researcher at the USC Center for Intelligent Technologies (CiTIUS) and I am also a member of the research unit Cognitive Processes and Behavior. Previously, I was affiliated with the department of English and German of the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC) and the Basque Center of Cognition, Brain and Language (BCBL), where I obtained my PhD in 2021 under the supervision of Carlos Acuña-Fariña (USC) and Manuel Carreiras (BCBL).
My research is concerned with sentence processing and more specifically, linguistic dependencies, linguistic illusions, and the relationship between grammar and parsing. More recently, I got deeply interested in the connections between cognitive and computational science of language and, more specifically, in evaluating the linguistic capabilities of artificial language models. In September 2021 I started working on NLP and language technologies under the guidance of Paulo Gamalho (USC-CiTIUS) and other experts on his team.
