Pamela Gloria Cajilig is a cultural anthropologist, design researcher, and women's advocate. She is presently a doctoral researcher at the School of Architecture and Urban Design at RMIT University in Melbourne. Working in the School's Humanitarian Architecture Research Bureau, she is developing her research on the design and citizenship practices of resettlement site inhabitants affected by Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) in the Philippines. She is Co-Founder and Principal of Curiosity, an independent user research firm in Manila which works with the private sector, non-government organisations, and government agencies in using design as a platform to create more meaningful products and services. Pamela is also an advisor for two women-centred organisations: WeDpro (women's rights, livelihood, and education) and Roots of Health (maternal and reproductive health). Prior to her working as a full-time researcher, Pamela was, for over a decade, a strategic communications planner for multinational organisations in Manila, Bangkok, and Kuala Lumpur. She completed her degrees in BA Communication Research and MA Anthropology from the University of the Philippines and served as faculty in the Development Studies Program of the Ateneo de Manila University; she is also a former Vice President of the Philippine Anthropological Association (UGAT). She regularly shares her work through training, publication, and public presentations.
