I am a researcher and professor working at the Federal University of São Paulo – campus Baixada Santista since 2013. I was the coordinator of the undergraduate course Interdisciplinary in Marine Science and Technology (2014-2015), the head of the Department for the Marine Sciences (2016-2018), and interim vice-director of the campus Baixada Santista. I am currently the coordinator of the Graduate Interdisciplinary Program in Marine Science and Technology approved by CAPES in June 2019. I am a CNPq Productivity fellowship (level 2), and my research activities are focused on atmospheric remote sensing, geographic information systems, and numerical modeling applied to renewable resources. In recent years, I participated in several research collaborations with national and international institutions such as INPE, UNIFEI, UFSC, UFAL, IAE, USP, Catholic University of Chile, Carl von Ossietzky Universät Oldenburg, Leibniz Universität Hannover, and UNEP. I am involved in the following projects: INCT-Climate Change, NEXUS, Brazilian Atlas for Solar Energy, Project SONDA, and NOPA (CAPES-DAAD New Partners) program. I am a Guest Editor on a Special Issue on "Remote Sensing applied to Renewable Energy Assessment" for the Remote Sensing Journal (MDPI). I am a reviewer for several international journals such as Solar Energy, Renewable Energy, Energy Policy, Applied Energy, Energies, and others. I also contribute to FAPESP, CNPq, FAPEMA, SNSF (Swiss National Science Foundation) as an ad-hoc reviewer.
