Rayna M. Harris is a post-doctoral researcher supervised by Drs. Titus Brown and Rebecca Calisi. Dr. Harris works to improve community engagement within scientific collaborations while researching neuromolecular mechanisms that regulate parental care behaviors in female and male rock doves. Drs. Harris and Calisi are also working on on a digital video series called I Can Science that highlights diversity in innovative research and teaching. Dr. Harris is a volunteer instructor trainer, lesson developer, and Spanish translator for The Carpentries, a non-profit community-driven organization focused on teaching coding and data science skills. Dr. Harris has a PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology from The University of Texas at Austin.
