I have a degree in Biology with an internship in Environmental Education and a Master's degree in Ecology with the theme of prioritising areas in the municipality of Nisa, Portugal, for conservation using soil macroinvertebrates. Since 2006 I have been responsible for managing the zoological collections, carrying out curatorial work, inventorying, photographic recording, collecting information on the species and documentary research on the specimens and entities related to the Science Museum of the University of Coimbra. I have participated in the design, production and assembly of exhibitions and collaborated on various research projects. I have a keen interest in taxonomy, insects, preventive conservation, pests in museums and the history of science.
