Dr. La Rosa is a dedicated academic professional with a diverse background in the field of Communication. Currently serving as a Lecturer in Communication at Nebrija University (Universidad de Nebrija) and an active member of the research group focusing on innovation in Communication & Media, NEBRIJA INNOMEDIA, Dr. La Rosa has had the privilege of contributing to various aspects of the academic community.
Educational Background:
Dr. La Rosa holds a Ph.D. in Media Research with International Ph.D. and Cum Laudem distinctions. Additionally, he earned a Master's degree in Applied Research to Mass Media from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) and a Licentiate in History from Universidad Central de Venezuela. His academic achievements were recognized with the Extraordinary Ph.D. Prize 2018-2019 (UC3M) and the Santander Universities Idea Puzzle Award 2017 (Lisbon).

Dr. La Rosa has had the opportunity to contribute to several impactful research projects, demonstrating a dedication to advancing the field of Communication. He is currently researcher of the funded European KA220-SCH project "The rise of social media to face disinformation and fake news" (WISE-ME) [2023-2025], and has had the privilege of being involved in other significant R & D projects funded by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (Spain). Through his roles as a PhD student researcher and PHD researcher, he gained valuable experience in projects such as "Big Data, Social Networking, and Data Journalism: Application of Monitoring Tools to the Sources Analysis and Journalistic Content" and "Gender Bias Identification in AI."
Furthermore, Dr. La Rosa served as a research assistant in the Leonardo Scholarship to Researchers and Cultural Creators 2020, exploring the topic of "Media and Information Literacy in Secondary Education Schools: How Are Teenagers Trained to Consume Information?" The project, funded by the BBVA Foundation, provided a unique opportunity to contribute to addressing critical societal issues through research initiatives.
