In 2014, I was awarded the Murdoch University PhD International Student Scholarship because of my exceptional academic performance in my Master by Research in Huazhong Agriculture University. It allowed me to undertake my PhD study majoring in Biological Science / crop genomics. I obtained my PhD degree in August 2018.
In 2018, I was awarded the UK Rutherford fellowship for my excellence in my research, which provided me the opportunities to broaden my academic experience in University of Dundee and the James Hutton Institute in UK. Meanwhile, I have built close cooperation with world leading institutes.
I currently work as a scientist of Bioinformatics and plant genomics at the State Key Laboratory of Agricultural Genomics at BGI-Research. Meanwhile I am an adjunct senior research fellow at China National GeneBank (CNGB), which is China's first national-level gene storage bank and committed to supporting world-wide public welfare, life science research, innovation and industry incubation, through effective bioresource conservation, digitalization and utilization.
Until April 2024, I have published over 40 excellent papers in SCI journals of high regard, including Nature, and Nucleic acids Research. My publications have been cited by over 2,780 times and my scholar H-index reaches 18. I have served as a peer reviewer for several well-recognized academic journals like Nucleic Acids Research and the frontier in plant science and attended several important academic conferences.
