Full Professor in Communication and Advertising at University of Alicante. PhD in Information Science from the University of Navarra, with a thesis on AIDS treatment in the press, which resulted in the monograph "The recall function of the media. What happens with media when nothing seems to happen "(2002). From that moment her research is focused on health communication, the re-construction of social problems (with special attention to gender) and the basics and ethics of communication. He has published over fifty articles related to these topics in refereed journals, has written six monographs and manuals and has participated in more than twenty competitive projects (European, national and regional) related to these issues which he has directed five.
He joined the Advertising and Public Relations Degree at the University of Alicante (UA) in 1997. Currently he is University Professor of Ethics in Advertising and General Information Theory. She is also the academic secretary of the PhD program of the Economic and Business Faculty of the AU and has also been teaching Doctoral program of Social Welfare and Inequality and Public Health at the university. It also participates in several doctoral and master media in other universities. She is director of the research group "COSOCO" (Communication and Knowledge Society) and member of the consolidated research group "Public Health" of the UA. He is a member of the fourth section of the Jury of Advertising Self-. She was an MP for the National Congress from 2015 to 2020 when she resigned her act.
He has been visiting professor at the University of Piura (Peru) at the Catholic University of Buenos Aires and a visiting researcher at IESE Business School and City University of New York (USA).
