I am passionate about studying cultural manifestations and analysing historical processes, especially those related to human identity and memory from a gender perspective and the application of new technologies. I have a dual background in Archaeology and Musicology, focusing on Digital Humanities. I believe connecting different societies through their cultural heritage is just one of the possibilities Digital Humanities offers to promote tolerance, respect and admiration for different identities.
I have gained experience as an archaeologist in different international and interdisciplinary research projects, in which I have carried out activities such as documentation, dissemination, material analysis, and text editing, among others. In addition, I have an intermediate level in the programming languages R, Python and XML-TEI, as well as in the use of text editing programs (Microsoft Office and LaTex), graphic design (PhotoModeler, Adobe Photoshop, Gimp, Adobe Illustrator, Inkscape, Blender, AutoCAD, DraftSight and Agisoft Metashape), GIS (ArcGIS, QGIS and GvSIG), music editing (MuseScore, Finale, Sibelius and Audacity), database management (Excel, Access and Filemaker) and teamwork (Slack, Trello and Miro).
I have also been a teacher of Spanish as a foreign language in a language centre and in a Red Cross volunteer programme, which has allowed me to develop my vocation for teaching. My educational model is based on communication, the use of ICT and the application of motivating, creative and participatory teaching methodologies such as the flipped classroom, project-based learning or gamification so that students develop autonomous learning, critical thinking and digital skills.
My multidisciplinary profile shows that I am a proactive person with a high degree of involvement and the ability to work in a team. Moreover, I have lived in Spain, the United States and Italy, demonstrating my ability to adapt to different contexts. But perhaps the characteristic that best defines me is my active listening skills. In addition, I have a curious mind and am interested in continuous learning and personal development, as I am aware that we live in a constantly changing world.
