Chemist and Pharmacist, with a Master's and Doctorate in Chemistry from the Federal University of Bahia. He is currently coordinator of the Agricultural Technological Center of the State of Bahia (CETAB), linked to the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock, Irrigation, Fisheries and Aquaculture of the State of Bahia (SEAGRI), where he develops research focused on agriculture in Bahia, with an emphasis on the development of methods analysis of metabolites in plant products and chemical ecology applied to the management of agricultural pests and diseases through chromatographic techniques hyphenated to mass spectrometry (HS-SPME/GC-MS, LC-MS/MS and LC-Q-TOF-MS /MS). He acts as an Ad Hoc reviewer for Scientific Reports, Trends in Analytical Chemistry, Food Chemistry, Analytical Methods, Microchemical Journal, among others. He is also a professor of the Bachelor of Pharmacy course at Mauricio de Nassau University Center (UNINASSAU). He held the position of Pro-Rector of Research and Postgraduate Studies at Maria Milza University Center (UNIMAM), where he worked as a teacher and advisor in the Postgraduate Programs in Biotechnology and Regional Development and Environment. He served as Coordinator of the Bachelor of Pharmacy Course at FAMAM (2017-2021). He has experience in the area of Chemistry, working mainly on the following topics: Environmental chemistry, Food and Beverages, Analytical methods, Chromatography, Mass spectrometry, SPME, pesticides, extraction and analysis of volatile organic compounds, Metabolomics, Leishmaniasis, chemical ecology of insects- pests and disease vectors, in addition to the development of chemical methods for diagnosing important diseases for agriculture and public health.
