My research lies at the interface between ecology, physiology, and evolution, focusing on understanding the underlying causes of physiological variation in organisms. My research covers a range of topics, including (1) thermal tolerance and physiology of global change, (2) evolutionary physiology and adaptation, and (3) geographic variation and phenotypic plasticity. My team and I use a variety of approaches to study these topics, including field and laboratory studies and different model organisms. In addition, our studies span different time scales, from acute effects on organismal performance to effects during development and adulthood, to multi-generational studies.
