Tim was the terrestrial geophysical survey lead at Cotswold Archaeology, based in the Suffolk Office with a small team of geophysical surveyors who undertake magnetometer, ground penetrating radar, earth resistance meter, magnetic susceptibility meter and ground conductivity meter surveys across East Anglia.
Tim joined Cotswold in 2019 during the merger with SACIC and previously setup and ran a successful small archaeological business (Britannia Archaeology Ltd) in Suffolk, where he was the business and geophysical survey manager. He has worked across the UK, undertaking numerous developer-funded and research geophysical and archaeological projects, based mainly in the West Midlands, Northeast England and East Anglia. He has worked on a range of high-profile projects that include Bungay Castle, Cardiff Castle, Clare Castle, Culloden Battlefield, Freston Causewayed Enclosure, Llandeilo Roman Fort, Rougham Round Barrows and Sutton Hoo.
