Kenneth V. Anthony is an associate professor in the Department of Curriculum, Instruction, and
Special Education at Mississippi State University where he teaches social studies methods courses in the elementary education program. His current research agenda includes preservice teachers’ knowledge and ability to teach social studies disciplines, using primary sources in the classroom, and homeschooling. He is particularly interested in what “traditional schools” can learn from homeschools in order to make schools more democratic and student centered. He has published several articles on homeschooling.
